Ink Cartridges: DVD RW Disks
DVD RW disks are rewritable DVDs. There are two types of DVD RW disks-DVD-RWs and DVD+RWs. Knowing the difference can help you choose the right one for your blank DVD media needs.
The DVD-RW was the original format. Now, both the DVD-RW and DVD+RW format are compatible with most DVD players and DVD-ROMs. They are two different formats that achieve the same thing.
What to Know When Buying DVD RW Disks
Not every DVD burner will recognize both formats. It is important to know which one your burner uses. It is now possible to get DVD burners that record more than one format. Check DVD burner reviews for performance information.
Thought both formats are essentially the same there are some differences. In general, DVD-RWs are cheaper to buy than DVD+RWs. Also, DVD+RWs have some additional features such as loss less linking and both CAV and CLV writing.
